I am really excited about what I just prepared for lunch today!
Copycat Bang Bang Shrimp is the perfect quick lunch.
You can’t go wrong with crunchy shrimp smothered in a spicy, creamy Asian sauce.
If you’ve ever eaten at Bonefish Grill or the Cheesecake Factory you’ve probably tried their Bang Bang dishes.
The key to Bang Bang is the sauce.
My Bang Bang sauce is made from Greek yogurt, mayonnaise, Asian chili sauce, paste, and oil.
I like to add a little Greek yogurt because I think it gives the dish a nice flavor.
This is one simple dish.
First, all you have to do is mix the Bang Bang sauce ingredients together and set those aside.
Secondly, marinate the shrimp in a little Bang Bang sauce for about 10 minutes then coat in cornstarch.
Finally, lightly fry the shrimp for about 3 minutes per side in a little oil.
I like to fry the shrimp in batches because I don’t want to overcrowd the pan and interfere with the crunch I am trying to achieve.
Yes, the Bang Bang sauce and the crunch is what makes this dish so delicious!
All that’s left to do is add the Bang Bang sauce to the pan and coat the shrimp.
Garnish with a little green onion and you could serve Copycat Bang Bang Shrimp with a side hot steamed rice if you want to make it a full meal.
