Are you like me and always looking for the next best game day snack?
My Cheez-It Jalapeno Poppers are about to solve all your game day snacking needs!
Yes, that’s Jalapeno Poppers coated in Cheez-It® Baked Snack Crackers and fried to perfection!
You already know that Cheez-It® Crackers by themselves are the ultimate game day snack!
In my house these are a family favorite to serve with dip, alone, by the handful and mouthful!
If you’re like me real cheese matters and that’s why my family and I always choose Cheez-It® as our go to snack for the big game.
If you’re a life long Cheez-It® fan I’m sure you’re excited about the two new HOT flavors, Hot & Spicy Grooves and Sriracha Snack Mix!
It’s time to start cooking so we can get to eating our new favorite game day snack!
Regardless of which team you’re rooting for these cheesy poppers are going to be the big winner of your game day party!
First, take room temperature cream cheese, chopped pickled jalapenos, grated sharp and jack cheeses and mix those all together.
Secondly, using a small ice cream scooper or a spoon, form the cheese mixture into small balls.
It’s the big game so why not make the poppers the shape of basketballs?
After you scoop all the popper balls as I like to call them, it’s time to chill them for about 30 minutes or you can stick these babies in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
For the ultimate game day tip, you can make these the night before all the way up to this step, cover with saran wrap and refrigerate overnight.
Third, after the balls are chilled we’re going to coat them in flour, then coat them in beaten egg.
Lastly, we coat our popper balls in crushed Cheez-It’s® with a little panko breading.
Did I mention the Large boxes of Cheez-It products are 3 for $8 the 3rd week of February – the 1st week of April at your local Target?
You’ll can also locate Cheez-It products in the Signal the Seasons Savor Spot section or near the Check Lane.
If you prefer not to fry your popper balls they can be chilled, rolled in crushed Cheez-It’s® cracker crumbs and served with a size of Cheez-It® for dipping!
Or better yet, why not make both, fried and unfried?
My family enjoys them both ways and so will yours!
Our cheesy jalapeno balls are all fried up and ready to serve for the big game!
I must admit the Cheez-It® cracker crumb coating was a genius idea of mine.
My daughter said Ma’ the Cheez-It® cracker crumbs make them so much better and cheesier!
I’m talking about the ultimate game day crunch people!
Oh, don’t forget to bath these crunchy bites of joy in lots of ranch dressing!
You gotta dip baby dip these spicy bites!
These are highly addictive and I suggest you make around five to six batches depending on the size of your party!
My family ate one batch in 5 minutes so you’ve been warned!
Don’t forget to head over to Target and satisfy all your Cheez-It® needs!
It’s time to get this game day party started!
